The Yacht London currently sponsors 2 horses in training.

"Dark and Dangerous" is our 4 year old bay gelding from Cacique out of Gilah. Formerly trained over the flat by Peter Winkworth (one of our Honorary Governor Members), he came home the winner at 18-1 over a mile and 5 furlongs at Bath in September. At the start of November he moved to Brendan Powell's yard at Lambourn to be schooled over fences and he won his first hurdles race on 5th November at Sandown Park at 13-2 when leading from the off with Champion Jockey A P McCoy on board. Both trainer and jockey are also Yacht London Members.

The aim of the syndicate is to purchase a horse or horses for the 2012 Season as a Club and then have some fun with

  • stable visits,
  • regular confidential stable updates
  • talks by jockeys and trainers,
  • social events and,

of course, days at the races to see our horse win.
